The Dutchess es el álbum debut de la ya solista cantante de The Black Eyed Peas, Fergie. El título es debido al parecido del nombre de Fergie (Stacy Ferguson) con la "Duquesa" (Duchess) de York (Sarah Ferguson), ya que comparten apodo y apellido. También puede considerarse un juego de palabras al mezclar la palabra duquesa (duchess) con la palabra neerlandés (dutch). Incluye dúos con el productor will.i.am en algunas de las canciones.
